Flying B Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is committed to addressing the animal overpopulation problem in Ellis County - and all of Texas - by "snipping it in the bud". Our driving focus is to make responsible pet ownership accessible to all community residents.

The project is designed to serve socioeconomically disadvantaged pet owners, educate residents who do not understand the health benefits of fixing their pets, and addressing the needs of the rural residents whose large livestock guardian dogs make spay/neuter cost prohibitive. Our goal is to reduce the number of "accidental" litters that are at risk of becoming strays and continuing the cycle of unwanted animals in our community.

We have two programs, Events and ASAP, designed to meet the needs of everyone. Whether you can wait for the convenience of a local spay/neuter event, or want to get your pet fixed as soon as possible - we can help!

We subsidize the cost of spay/neuter with our high-quality, low-cost partners DeHart Veterinary Services, Texas Coalition for Animal Protection and Spay Neuter Network. We use DVS, TCAP, and SNN for our rescue animals and can attest to the high-quality services they provide. They are very important resources to our rescue.

We require a co-pay for each animal to reserve your appointment and/or voucher.
-
$25.00 for dogs (includes surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip, and recovery cone)
-
$10.00 for cats (includes surgery, rabies vaccination, microchip)
-
Some exclusions apply and we will waive the co-pay on a case-by-case basis.
General Animal Requirements:
-
Patients must be older than 8 weeks and/or 2 pounds.
-
Patients must be less than 6 years old unless an "Against Medical Advisement" form is signed or pre-anesthetic bloodwork is performed.

For every $7500 we raise, we will reserve a full day of services to sponsor low-cost spay/neuter surgeries for up to 100 animals in partnership with DeHart Veterinary Services, Texas Coalition for Animal Protection and Spay Neuter Network.
